Description
(LOCATION: Miami FL) This 65' Custom Motor Sailor began life as a Baltic Sea Trawler. Built in Amsterdam in 1958 to withstand the rigors of the Baltic fishing trade, she features a heavily constructed steel hull. She was purchased by her present owner in 1983 and a three-year retrofit added the pilothouse, all-new accommodations, sailing rig, and workshop. Crazy Horse has worked the Caribbean for the last twenty-three years serving as a live-aboard workshop.

The pilothouse includes bridge, helm station, and master stateroom. The helm is equipped with Northstar GPS/chart plotter, Raymarine VHF radio, Navman log displays, Ritchie compass, and a Dell computer. The master stateroom is aft with double berth, hanging lockers, bureau, book shelves, and ensuite head with vanity and shower. The deck house is home to the galley with three-burner range with oven, two top-loading ice boxes with cold plate refrigeration, Sharp microwave oven, and teak dining table. The salon is furnished with a large wrap-around settee, coffee table, book shelves, ample storage, and Toshiba combo TV. The second stateroom is off the salon and has upper and lower bunks, hanging locker, and enclosed head with vanity and shower. A third stateroom is forward in the foc'sle with upper and lower bunks, with head, vanity, and shower.

The main deck has been equipped with sailing rig and includes two boats. There's a 14' fiberglass skiff with 30-hp Yamaha outboard engine. The second boat is an 11' fiberglass sailing dinghy with centerboard, rudder, and mainsail. Forward is a hydraulic windlass with capstan, multiple anchors, and multiple anchor rodes. Below is a full machine shop designed to effect repairs anywhere, anytime.

Crazy Horse is powered by a 250-hp GM diesel engine with only 400 hours SMOH in 2001. With a 3000 gallon fuel capacity and 2000 gallons of fresh water this sixty-five foot motor sailor can spend extended time on the water. This unique vessel has to be seen to be appreciated.
