- Remarks
- SEARCHER is remarkably clean, with all new navy exterior cockpit and flybridge covers, while textilene window covering, curtains, carpet, upholstery, futon, v-berth cushions, teak entertainment center. Exceptional maintenance shows in the near new perfect condition of her original gelcoat. SEARCHER has had regularly scheduled maintenance including weekly topside washdowns, monthly hull-cleaning, quarterly waxings, 50-hour oil and filter changes including generator and fuel filters. New Prop Shafts (8/98). Brand new MerCruiser fresh water cooled engines were installed in 1985 and have approx. 1350 hours. The Kohler generator, installed new in 1990, has less than 350 hours. This vessel has taken top honors in Predicted Log Racing, capturing first place for Southern California and North America numerous times in recent years. Reliably finishing every precision navigation contest entered over many year testifies to her impeccable maintenance and preparation. With over $50,000 spent on upgrades and preventative maintenance in the last 24 months this vessel is one of a kind.
Few boats can rival the 15-year production run enjoyed by the Bertram 35 convertible. The Bertram 35's interior layouts is well-suited for family cruising, although she's most at home as a fishing boat where her large cockpit, precise handling and enviable seakeeping qualities are most appreciated. Twin 350hp Crusader gas engines were standard (19-20 knots cruise/28 top) during her production run. A popular boat, used models are in demand.
